Speaker Bio: Bin Han is an Associate Professor in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, School of Humanities, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in research on archaeo-science. His research area is the analysis of archaeological organic residues, which aims to explore the utilization of animal and plant resources and livelihood patterns of ancient people through the physical and chemical analysis of ancient residues. He has led several National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Social Science Foundation projects and has published many papers in journals such as Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, Cellulose, Analyst, Journal of Archaeological Science Reports, and Archaeometry.
