CHEN Xianglong is an Associate Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Archaeology at the Key Laboratory of Scientific Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Protection, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Chinese Academy of History, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), Vice Dean of the School of History at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Secretary of the Archaeological Chronology Committee and Deputy Secretary-General of the Zooarchaeology Committee of the Archaeological Society of China. His main research interests include stable isotope bioarchaeology and radiocarbon chronology, and he is committed to the combined research of scientific archaeology and archaeology. He was selected into the National Young Top Talents Program and the "Peiyuan Program" for young talents of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has presided over the National Social Science Fund project, a sub-project of the National Social Science Fund major project, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Xia Culture Research Chronology project of "Archaeological China", and other national and provincial-level scientific research projects. He is also the main person in charge of the Ministry of Science and Technology's key R&D program "Research on the Origin of Chinese Civilization" livelihood and chronology projects. He has published more than 50 academic papers as the first author or sole author in domestic and foreign academic journals such as <Archaeology>, <Science China: Earth Sciences>, and International Journal of Osteoarchaeology.
