About the Speaker: Yu-niu Li is an Associate Research Fellow and doctoral supervisor at the Center for Archaeological Science, Sichuan University. His main research interests include archaeometallurgy, scientific archaeology, experimental archaeology, and industrial archaeology. He is dedicated to combining traditional archaeological research with scientific analysis to reconstruct ancient metallurgical technologies; through experimental archaeology, he simulates the Han Dynasty pig iron smelting production system, broadens the research connotation of archaeometallurgy, and provides new methods and perspectives for interpreting ancient technology and social changes. He has published more than 20 research papers in related academic journals at home and abroad, such as Antiquity and Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences, and has published a Chinese translation of archaeometallurgy. He has led 4 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Tibet Autonomous Region Science and Technology Major Project; he has participated in 3 projects, including the National Social Science Fund Major Bidding Project, the Sino-foreign Joint Project of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Key Project of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture.
