About the Speaker: Hu Yue is currently a specially appointed Associate Research Fellow at the Center for Archaeological Science, Sichuan University. His research focuses on Paleolithic archaeology and optically stimulated luminescence dating. He explores the characteristics of early and modern human evolution, migration, communication, and cultural behavior in East Asia by combining lithic technology and optically stimulated luminescence chronology, especially the cultural features of the Middle and Late Paleolithic in southwestern China during the Middle and Late Pleistocene, as well as the evolution and migration of ancient humans in the region. He has published several academic papers as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as Nature, National Science Review, Journal of Archaeological Science, and Quaternary Research.
