The Kongque River is an important river in the Tarim Basin of Xinjiang, with numerous ancient cultural remains of different eras and natures distributed along its banks. In recent years, archaeological workers in Xinjiang have conducted archaeological surveys and excavations of sites such as the Xiaohe Cemetery, the Xianshuiquan Ancient City, and the Keyakkuduk Beacon Tower in the Kongque River Basin, achieving a series of important gains that have greatly promoted the breadth and depth of archaeological research in the Loulan area and the entire Tarim Basin.
