Speaker Profile: Liang Weibo is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the West China School of Basic Medical Sciences & Forensic Medicine, Sichuan University, where he currently serves as the Vice Dean. He was appointed as a Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education's Major Talent Program in 2022. He also holds several academic positions, including Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education's Teaching Guidance Committee for Forensic Medicine Majors, Standing Council Member of the Chinese Forensic Medicine Association, President of the Sichuan Forensic Science Association, and Vice President of the Forensic Medicine Branch of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association. His work is dedicated to teaching and research in the fields of forensic medicine and medical genetics. He has published over 100 academic papers and has been awarded five grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His teaching achievements are outstanding: he is the head of a National First-Class Major Construction Point, is in charge of one National First-Class Undergraduate Course and three key provincial/ministerial-level teaching reform projects. He has received two national-level teaching achievement awards and has served as chief editor or co-editor for six nationally planned textbooks.
