Wang Ya-nan, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. Native of Qingdao, Shandong. Graduated from Sichuan University in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Light Chemical Engineering, and in 2013 with a Ph.D. in Leather Chemistry and Engineering. Since July 2013, has been engaged in teaching and research at the Department of Biomass and Leather Engineering, Sichuan University, promoted to Associate Professor in 2015, and Professor in 2020.

Selected for the National High-Level Talents Special Support Plan Youth Project, Reserve Candidate for Academic and Technical Leaders of Sichuan Province, and Sichuan University's "Double Hundred Talent Program". Member of the ISO/TC 120 and IULTCS Domestic Technical Counterpart Expert Working Group, Member of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Leather Association, and Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Leather Society. Deputy Editor of Collagen and Leather, Editorial Board Member of Leather Science and Engineering, China Leather, and Reviewer for Carbohydrate Polymers, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Hazardous Materials, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Waste Management, and other journals.
