Basic Information
Li Lan is from Nanchong, Sichuan. In 2007, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Nanjing University. In September 2007, she began studying for a Master's degree in Quaternary Geology at the School of Geography, Nanjing University. At the end of 2011, she received a Ph.D. in Quaternary Geology from Nanjing University. In 2012, she started working in the Department of Archaeology, Sichuan University and is still working there. From 2016 to 2017, she was a visiting scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
Main research directions: environmental archaeology, climate change, geoarchaeology.
Field Experience
She has participated in the excavation of sites such as the burial tombs of Emperor Han Jingdi's Yangling Mausoleum in Shaanxi (2005), the Shuping Site in Zigui, Hubei (2005), the Karuo Site in Qamdo (2012), and the Baodun Site in Chengdu (2013).
She has participated in the on-site investigation and environmental analysis of sites such as the Liangwangcheng Site in Jiangsu, the Tenghualuo Site in Lianyungang (2007), the Luotuodun Site in Yixing (2007), the Tingchigang Site in Yancheng (2009), the Dongshancun Site in Zhangjiagang (2010), the Huangsipu Site in Zhangjiagang (2010), the Shunshanji Site in Suqian (2010), the Zhongqiao Site in Shayang, Hubei (2009), the Hongqiaogou Site in Chengdu (2012), the Baodun Site in Chengdu (2013), and the Handongcheng Site in Chongqing (2013).
