Personal Profile
I received my Ph.D. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in June 2011. From September 2008 to September 2009, I conducted research and study at the Video Processing Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, San Diego, as a jointly trained doctoral student. Since December 2011, I have been teaching at the Computer Science Department of Sichuan University.
I am mainly engaged in research and development in the fields of image and video processing, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and computer vision. My specific research directions include multimodal intelligent perception, deep learning, face recognition, and medical image processing. As a project leader or main researcher, I have participated in more than 20 national/defense vertical research projects and enterprise-commissioned research and development projects, including major projects such as the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Major Instrument and Equipment Development Program, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Electronic Industry Fund.
I have published more than 50 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals and related conferences, including well-known journals and conferences in related fields such as IEEE TMI, IEEE TIP, BOE, CVPR, IEEE ICIP, IEEE ISBI, IEEE ICASSP, Fully 3D, etc. Among them, there are 3 ESI highly cited papers/hot papers, and the total number of SCI citations is more than 1000. As a member of the organizing committee, I have participated in organizing several authoritative international and domestic academic conferences in this field (International Conference on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems, China Biometric Recognition Conference, etc.), and I serve as a reviewer for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and Medical Image Analysis.
Project Achievements and Awards
In recent years, I have undertaken more than 20 national and provincial vertical projects, including 1 key project of the Natural Science Foundation, 1 general project of the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation, 2 sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, 1 key R&D project of Sichuan Province, 1 project of Sichuan Province International Cooperation, 1 major frontier project of Sichuan Science and Technology Program, 1 project of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2 projects of Sichuan Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 1 scientific research project of Sichuan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission; as a main researcher, I have participated in more than 10 other national and provincial projects. I am a core member of the Engineering Science and Technology Innovation Team and Pilot Program of Sichuan University.
I won the second prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020, and the Excellent Master's Thesis Supervisor of Sichuan University in 2021.
